Another to-be-continued project consists of a detailed drawing of a boy surrounded by roses. Through this piece I want to intensify the relation between the soft, almost feminine features of the subject and the delicate, blooming flowers. The idea behind the artwork reflects on the stereotype that boys have to be tougher than girls, that they can’t slip their feelings. The association between a rose, an element opposite to what we assume of being manly, and a boy, accentuates the emotive side of masculinity.
Up to this point, on the A3 paper are used drawing pencils.
