For this piece, I was strongly inspired by the contrast between delicacy and fierceness. Over the years, I developed an interest both in flowers and in history. I was fascinated by the floral beauty and power of growing life over and over again. I metaphorically compared them to women and royalty since their corolla looks just like a crown.
Using soft pastels, ink, watercolour pencils, black and white gel pens, gold paint, black ink drawing pens and highlighters, I created on the A4 paper my own vision of feminine royalty. |
