For my artworks, I enjoy using personal metaphors as source of inspiration. Growing up, I always spent my summer holidays at my grandmother's house in a rural area. The night sky was so clear that every star could be distinguished. Almost every year, my father would show me different constellations and tell me stories, causing my later passion for astronomy. Linking the night sky to the dark background and freckles to stars, "contrast" is a contemplation of natural beauty and human beauty.
On the black paper I used white charcoal pencils. |
